Job Summary:
The Sweeper Truck Driver supports the milling crew by operating a street sweeper truck to remove debris, dust, and milled asphalt from roadways and job sites. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and safe work environment, ensuring proper surface preparation for paving operations, and supporting overall crew efficiency.
Job Duties:
- Operate a sweeper truck to clean milled surfaces, haul roads, and job sites before and after milling operations
- Remove loose asphalt, dirt, and debris to ensure surfaces are properly prepared for paving
- Coordinate with milling machine operators, ground crew, and supervisors to maintain workflow
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of equipment, reporting maintenance or safety issues promptly
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and perform basic maintenance tasks (checking fluids, filters, broom wear, etc.)
- Follow all safety protocols, traffic control measures, and DOT regulations
- Assist crew members with general labor duties when needed

Position Requirements
Qualifications:
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) (Class A or B, depending on equipment)
- Previous experience operating a sweeper truck or similar heavy equipment preferred
- Familiarity with road construction, milling, or paving operations is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment in varying weather conditions
- Strong awareness of safety practices and procedures
- Reliable attendance and ability to work extended hours, including nights and weekends as required
