Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Project Director with a strong MEP and CSA background and a clear electrical bias to lead the full lifecycle delivery of a major project in Charleroi, Belgium.This role carries full ownership and accountability for the scope of works delivered by the Engineering team. The successful candidate will act as the senior leader on site, ensuring safe, on-time, on-budget delivery while maintaining the highest quality and client satisfaction standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Leadership & Delivery
  • Take full responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of the team project scope.
  • Lead all phases including planning, design coordination, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
  • Ensure alignment with client expectations, contractual obligations, and programme milestones.

Technical Oversight (MEP / CSA – Electrical Bias)
  • Provide strong leadership across MEP systems with particular focus on electrical infrastructure (HV/LV, critical systems, data centre environments where applicable).
  • Oversee integration of CSA and MEP packages, ensuring seamless coordination across disciplines.
  • Act as the senior technical authority, resolving complex engineering and delivery challenges.

Commercial & Contractual Management
  • Maintain full control of project financial performance, including cost management, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Manage risk, change control, and contractual compliance.
  • Drive commercial outcomes while protecting company margins.

Programme & Risk Management
  • Own and drive the master programme, ensuring delivery milestones are met or exceeded.
  • Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies before issues arise.
  • Maintain a forward-looking approach to project challenges and opportunities.

Team Leadership
  • Lead and develop a multi-disciplinary project team, including project managers, engineers, and site teams.
  • Foster a high-performance culture with clear accountability and ownership.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for all project-related matters.

Client & Stakeholder Management
  • Serve as the senior interface with the client and key stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships.
  • Ensure clear communication and reporting at all levels.

Health, Safety & Quality
  • Champion a zero-harm safety culture across all project activities.
  • Ensure adherence to all quality standards, compliance, and regulatory requirements.

Key Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Project Director / Senior Project Lead on large-scale, complex engineering projects.
  • Strong background in MEP and CSA delivery, with a clear electrical bias.
  • Experience delivering mission-critical or high-value infrastructure projects (e.g., data centres, pharma, industrial).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage full project lifecycle ownership.
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience managing large project budgets.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to operate independently, make decisions, and drive outcomes.
  • Willingness to work on a rotational basis in Belgium.
