Job Description
Role: Oversees the technical aspects of production operations, including implementing new processes, improving existing ones, and guiding the technical support team. Key responsibilities include ensuring products meet technical specifications and ISO 9001 quality standards, managing projects to improve efficiency, coordinating resources like machines and staff, and bridging the gap between technical teams and business goals. This role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Core responsibilities:
•Production and Process Oversight:
•Implement new manufacturing processes and continuously improve existing ones
•Ensure all products meet technical and quality specifications
•Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for manufacturing excellence•Project Management:
•Propose and conduct projects to develop and improve production methods
•Manage technical projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are on time and within budget
•Delegate technical responsibilities and monitor project progress
•Team and Resource Management:
•Lead and manage teams of technicians, mechanics, and other staff
•Ensure timely allocation of resources such as staff and machinery
•Train and assist with assessing the performance of technical support staff
•Strategic and Operational Support:
•Align technical activities with overall business goals
•Report on progress and changes to management
•Analyze production data to identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency.
•Collaborate with other departments, such as finance, HR, and logistics
Required skills and qualifications:
•Technical expertise: Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 Processes and systems
•Leadership and management: Experience managing teams, delegating tasks, and providing guidance
•Project management: Proficiency in planning, budgeting, and risk management for technical projects
•Problem-solving: Ability to analyze issues and implement effective technical solutions
•Communication: Skill to convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
•Adaptability: Flexibility to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to industry changes
