Responsibilities:

  • Design, lead, and continuously advance a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS) that ensures full compliance with FDA regulations (including cGMP and 21 CFR 111) and internal quality standards.
  • Provide strategic leadership and executive oversight for all Quality functions, including Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Compliance, and Validation, ensuring cohesive and compliant operations.
  • Ensure and certify that all manufacturing, laboratory, and distribution activities are fully compliant with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
  • Serve as the companys senior quality representative and primary liaison for all regulatory inspections (FDA, state agencies) and third-party audits, ensuring successful outcomes and effective follow-up.
  • Own and lead the internal audit program and supplier qualification process, driving timely remediation and closure of compliance gaps.
  • Direct and manage Quality Control laboratory operations, including budgeting, equipment calibration and maintenance, method development, and validation.
  • Ensure all quality control testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products meets established specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee all Quality Assurance systems and processes, including batch record review, deviations, risk assessments, CAPA, change control, MRB, HACCP/Food Safety Plans, and OOS investigations.
  • Establish and maintain a robust Document Control System for all quality records, including SOPs, specifications, master batch records, and certificates of analysis, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain role-specific cGMP and QMS training programs to ensure all personnel are properly qualified and current.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop QA and QC teams, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision making.
  • Manage departmental budgets, resources, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to optimize compliance, efficiency, and operational performance.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in relevant scientific discipline (Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacy, Food Science, or related field).
  • Masters degree preferred.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of progressive quality management experience within the dietary supplement, natural products, food, or pharmaceutical industry.
  • 5+ years of leadership or management experience overseeing quality functions.
  • Demonstrated, hands-on expertise with cGMP compliance is required.
