The Project Manager owns full lifecycle project execution for lighting, switchgear/electrical distribution products, and related electrical components. This role coordinates documentation, submittals, vendor pricing, scheduling, delivery plans, and customer communication to achieve successful execution outcomes. The Project Manager is responsible for margin protection, billing support, change management, and overall customer experience throughout execution. This position bridges sales handoff to project closeout while maintaining accountability for schedule, scope, and communication.
What you will be doing as a member of our dynamic team:
Project Lifecycle Ownership
- Own execution from awarded handoff through billing and closeout.
- Manage scope, schedule, and documentation to meet contractual requirements.
- Lead coordination across sales, vendors, logistics, warehouse, and customer field teams.
- Validate product availability, alternates, substitutions, and lead times.
- Maintain documentation for approvals, releases, impacts, and delivery plans.
Customer & Stakeholder Communication
- Serve as primary point of contact for customer during execution.
- Communicate delivery schedules, impact changes, and dependencies proactively.
- Run update meetings, schedule reviews, and status reporting as required.
- Coordinate internally to resolve issues, escalations, and field changes.
Scheduling, Delivery & Field Coordination
- Build and maintain delivery schedules, sequencing plans, and logistics requirements.
- Oversee release timing, shipment tracking, and field readiness.
- Document delays, interference, and impact conditions for commercial review.
- Align stakeholders on impacts to labor, scheduling, and site coordination.
Financial Awareness & Change Management
- Support margin protection through procurement strategy, alternates, and scope clarity.
- Identify, document, and communicate scope changes requiring commercial action.
- Assist with billing schedules, forecasting, and documentation for Accounts Receivable.
- Track cost impacts, alternates, credits, and substitution changes.
Experience:
- 4–7 years of experience in project management or execution within electrical distribution, construction, or industrial material environments.
- Working knowledge of lighting, switchgear/electrical distribution products, and related electrical components.
- Demonstrated ability to manage documentation, schedules, and communication independently.
- Ability to lead customers, vendors, and cross-functional internal teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and ERP/order management tools.
Preferred:
- Experience in quoting, submittals, take-offs, or procurement.
- Ability to read drawings, spec books, schedules, and one-lines.
- Experience with billing, forecasting, or financial review processes.
