About This Position
Job Summary:
The Production Technician Supervisor oversees the Production Technicians ensuring optimal performance and project delivery. Responsibilities include managing resources, troubleshooting technical issues, and coordinating with other teams and groups. Task execution, team leadership, and planning form their core duties.
Responsibilities:
- Plan technician support services for production equipment, assembly fixtures, product repair, and production process safety.
- Manage a technical team, including assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to technicians.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of technical projects.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment for the technical team.
- Develop and implement technical procedures and policies.
- Oversee Preventative Maintenance system and Production Floor Support Ticketing system.
- Troubleshoot electro-mechanical products on the production floor.
- Troubleshoot and maintain electro-mechanical assembly fixtures.
- Troubleshoot and repair customer-returned product.
- Design, build and document assembly fixtures.
- Collaborate with other teams and groups to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Stay up-to-date with new technologies and industry trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
- Maintain accurate documentation of technical processes and procedures.
- Backup for production assembly lines as needed as an assembler, calibrator, or inspector.
- Use and maintain knowledge of the ERP Service application and suggest improvements to those processes.
- Other technician duties as assigned.
Skills:
- Expert proficiency in oscilloscopes, multi-meters and other electro-mechanical tools.
- Ability to understand engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Proven experience in managing technical teams and projects.
- Strong knowledge of technical systems, tools, and software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with team members, stakeholders, and clients.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive results in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to technical projects.
- Experience in developing and implementing technical strategies and roadmaps.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience in a technical field required.
- Minimum 3 years’ electro-mechanical technician experience required.
- Minimum 3 years supervisory experience preferred.
- Drafting experience required.
- SolidWorks experience preferred.
- 3D printing experience a plus.
Job Details:
- Full time exempt with full benefits
- Dayshift Monday through Friday 7AM to 3:30 PM
- Onsite position
- Salary DOE
Essential Functions:
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required
- Use of upper body, arms, and hands throughout the day
- Lifting 10-20 pounds repeatedly throughout the day
- Bending, stooping, and reaching overhead throughout the day to reach materials to move or pickup
- Good eye hand coordination
- Able to work regularly with epoxy, glues, sealants
