About This Position
The MJF Finisher is responsible for finishing parts per the job sheet requirements and\or supplied drawings. Parts are to be finished at a high quality and must meet customer expectations.
Requirements:RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work closely with the MJF Lead, Project Technicians and the Quality Department.
- Perform work instructions as detailed on the job sheet.
- Compare actual part to job sheet/drawing to verify existence of features, basic measurements and insert locations.
- Visually inspect parts for defect.
- Finish parts utilizing various hand tools and techniques to a finishing level which meets customers specified quality standard.
- Reject any parts that cannot meet the customer’s needs.
- Notify the MJF Lead of any questionable parts.
- Maintain a safe work environment.
- Promote a positive work environment.
- Assist in various stages of production as needed.
- Other duties, tasks, and responsibilities that may be assigned at any time.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- A minimum of 1 year of related work experience is preferred.
- Ability to read, understand, and execute work with detailed job instructions.
- Excellent hand skills and coordination.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Solid organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work within a team as well as individually.
- Ability to multitask when needed.
- Ability to accomplish tasks without constant supervision.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The role requires frequent interaction with manufacturing operations, where PPE such as safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed shoes are required. Typical plant conditions with ambient temperature, standard lighting, and machining equipment in use.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods. Occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs.) and movement throughout manufacturing areas. May involve accessing or observing equipment in confined or elevated spaces, following all safety procedures.
