Adjunct Allied Health Medical Assisting Program at Bunker Hill Community College – Boston, Massachusetts

In the Allied Health Department, specifically the Medical Assisting program, perform/ensure the following: Primarily responsible for assisting instructional preparation and teaching of Allied Health medical assisting courses. The Department is looking to hire two Adjuncts from this job posting. This is an in-person part-time faculty position.

Responsibilities:

• Provide assistance instructing allied health students in the medical assisting program.
• Assist instructors with evaluating student performance in the classroom and in the lab setting.
• Use new technologies in the classroom (in person and/or remote), as appropriate, to facilitate learning.
• Ensure safety in the laboratory at all times; immediately address any unsafe activity and report it to the instructor.

Requirements:

• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant.
• Maintain expertise and currency in the area of teaching responsibility.
• Associate degree or certificate in Medical Assisting preferable.
• Comply with the duties as stipulated in the Massachusetts Community College Council Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Additional Information:
Salary: $1,397 per credit hour.
