Night Ambulance EMT at Cherry County Hospital – Valentine, Nebraska

Job Title: Ambulance Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
Shift: Night Shift PRN

Base Pay: Starts at $17.65 per hour, with higher pay based on experience.

On-Call: Must be available to respond to 9-1-1 calls when paged; paid $2.00 per hour while on call.

Call-Back Pay: Time and a half when called in, with a minimum of one hour of pay.

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Ambulance Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our team. In this role, you will provide emergency medical care to patients in urgent situations and ensure safe transport to medical facilities. You will collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

• Respond promptly to emergency calls and provide appropriate medical care
• Assess patient conditions and determine necessary treatment
• Administer medications and perform medical procedures within scope of practice
• Transport patients safely to healthcare facilities
• Communicate effectively with medical personnel to ensure continuity of care
• Maintain accurate and complete patient care documentation
• Ensure ambulance equipment and supplies are properly maintained and ready for use

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited EMT training program
• Current EMT certification
• Current CPR certification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure and high-stress situations
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

• Prior experience as an Ambulance EMT
• Advanced EMT certification
• Knowledge of local EMS protocols and procedures
