Pharmacy Technician FT

  • JOB RELATIONSHIPS
    • Pharmacy Managers, Pharmacist on duty, Pharmacy Technician Supervisor
  • DEFINITION OF POSITION
    • A Pharmacy Technician is responsible for assisting pharmacists in various aspects of medication acquisition, preparation, distribution, and billing.
  • QUALIFICATIONS
    • Professional
      • High school graduate or equivalent
      • Registered as a Pharmacy Technician by the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy
      • Six months experience as a pharmacy technician or successful completion of an accredited pharmacy technician training program 4.
      • Must obtain PTCB certification within the first six months of employment. PTCB certification must be kept current during your employment.
      • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
      • Basic computer skills including keyboard data entry and Windows-based software navigation
      • Basic office equipment skills including use of calculator, telephone, printer, & fax machine
