CERTIFIED PHARMACY TECH

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
- The Certified Pharmacy Technician, under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, assists with the filling of medication orders/prescriptions, unit doses, checks outdates, fills stock, prepares IV medications, compounds, and delivers medications throughout the facility. Assists with collection of accurate and complete patient home medication lists.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional/Educational
  - Current pharmacy technician licensure issued by the State of Illinois (20 for Certified Tech hour CEU's included) with biennial renewal.
  - Current Pharmacy Technician Certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Health Career Association (EXCPT)
  - DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.
- Personal
  - Works effectively with others, possessing tact, discretion, diplomacy, and honesty.
  - Demonstrates leadership, responsibility, and teaching ability.
  - Desire and ability to cooperate with and/or under the direction of others.
  - Possesses the ability to work under pressure.

Actual pay will be determined by qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
