Handyman/Facilities Repairman at Honda – Akron, Ohio

We’re looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Facilities Repairman to help keep our dealership facilities running smoothly and looking their best. If you take pride in your work, enjoy hands-on tasks, and want to be part of a fast-paced, team-oriented environment — we want to hear from you!

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8AM-5PM (with occasional on-call evenings and weekends). This is on site at our Akron Honda dealership but does require travel to our other dealerships throughout the week or as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical and plumbing.
• Install, troubleshoot, and replace lighting fixtures, switches and outlets.
• Assist with basic carpentry, drywall repair, and painting (interior/exterior).
• Assemble, move, and install furniture and fixtures.
• Mount and secure TV's, signage, shelving, and wall fixtures safely and accurately.
• Maintain, clean, and organize work areas, storage rooms and tools.
• Support renovation or remodeling projects as needed.
• Operate power tools, hand tools, ladders, lifts and other maintenance equipment safety.
• Coordinate and oversee outside contractors or service vendors when required.
• Respond to emergency maintenance calls after hours or on weekends when on-call
• Travel between multiple sites or locations, even overnights as needed.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in general maintenance, facilities repair, or related trades.
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and follow technical manuals and schematics.
• Willingness to travel between sites and respond to off-hour service calls as needed.
• Comfortable using basic computer and mobile applications.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work indoors/outdoors as needed.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to follow direction.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• Regular and predictable attendance is required for this position.
