About the Role

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Account Development Associate to support the growth of our Private Label Beauty division. In this role, you will work closely with the Senior Account Director to help identify new business opportunities, develop client proposals, conduct market and trend research, and support strategic account initiatives.

You will play an important role in helping transform ideas, trends, and existing product capabilities into new business opportunities. This position offers the opportunity to work across multiple product categories and gain exposure to business development, product innovation, sourcing research, and client presentations.

What You’ll Do

Support Business Development

• Research and identify potential new clients within the beauty, retail, and private label sectors.
• Support outreach initiatives and help develop opportunities with prospective clients.
• Assist in preparing proposals, presentations, and pitch materials for new business opportunities.
• Help adapt existing product concepts and programs into tailored presentations for new accounts.

Conduct Market & Trend Research

• Monitor beauty industry trends, emerging product categories, and competitive activity.
• Identify new product ideas and concepts based on market insights and customer opportunities.
• Conduct competitive analysis to support product positioning and client proposals.

Support Sourcing & Product Exploration

• Research vetted factories and suppliers to support sourcing initiatives.
• Conduct pricing, quality, and capability comparisons across potential vendors.
• Assist in gathering product information, samples, and supplier insights to support development opportunities. Assist with sample mock-ups.

Support Product Mock-Ups & Visual Presentation Materials

• Prepare and assemble product mock-ups and sample concepts for internal reviews, photography, and laboratory walk-throughs.
• Create visual representations of product ideas using available materials to communicate concepts before production.
• Support preparation of samples and concept materials used in presentations and client meetings.

Collaborate Across Teams

• Work closely with internal cross-functional teams, including marketing, sourcing, purchasing, and product development.
• Assist in coordinating internal efforts to support new business initiatives and client opportunities.
• Help ensure alignment on project timelines, requirements, and deliverables.

Keep Projects Organized

• Assist in maintaining sales pipeline tracking and opportunity documentation.
• Support preparation for client meetings, presentations, and internal strategy discussions.
• Organize and maintain presentation materials, product concepts, and supporting documentation.
• Assist with internal meetings by preparing materials, agendas, and follow-ups.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in business, marketing, merchandising, communications, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in business development support, sales coordination, product development, merchandising, or project coordination—ideally within beauty, consumer goods, or retail.
• Experience in private label, beauty, or fast-paced product environments is an asset.
• Strong research and analytical skills with curiosity about market trends and product innovation.
• Ability to build compelling presentations and pitch materials.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
• High attention to detail and strong follow-through.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), Advanced PowerPoint and presentation development skills with the ability to create polished, visually engaging decks.
• Strong eye for layout, visual organization, and presentation clarity. A proactive and resourceful mindset with a strong willingness to learn.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
