Primary Purpose:
To provide direct job coaching and supervision to participants with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities while they learn, practice, and utilize their work skills across various employment opportunities.
Essential Functions:
- Utilize job coaching to train, supervise and support individuals to sustain employment, including adapting equipment/job tasks to maximize the potential of the individuals working. Act as a primary liaison person between any employment site and CCARC, promoting the individual’s inclusion at the site(s) and developing and maintaining all pertinent records related to the site(s). Ability to demonstrate sound judgement and the ability to work unsupervised at community-based worksites. Provide engaging work-related activities to participants while not at a worksite.
Act as a role model for program participants. Evaluate the individual’s appropriateness, desires, strengths, and abilities for employment. Complete quality documentation in a timely fashion. Always maintains professional demeanor, which could include following worksite dress codeAdhere to agency policies and procedures. Maintain good daily attendance (days of absence, illness, tardiness). Attend and participate in mandatory training, in-services, staff meetings and conferences as required. Demonstrate knowledge of emergency procedures and respond appropriately to emergency situations. Compliance with community-based worksite policies and procedures, as required.
Other Related Responsibilities:
- Pass medication as needed. Transport participants to activities and worksites in agency vehicles.Follow Behavioral Support Plans and provide PMT interventions when necessary.
