About This Position
RCP Fleet is currently seeking an automotive upfit technician to join our fleet installation team.
At RCP Fleet, we’re more than just a vehicle upfitter — we’re a trusted partner to public safety professionals nationwide. We specialize in custom emergency vehicle upfitting and manufacturing for law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency medical services (EMS). Every vehicle that leaves our facility is designed to perform when it matters most.
This role will be responsible for installation and assembly of equipment for upfitting fleet vehicles to service our customers, maintaining a clean workspace, and performing routine maintenance on equipment. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Duties:
Assemble and install aftermarket vehicle equipment
Mount and wire electrical components including lighting, controls, sirens, ect.
Verify all product and services meet company standards
Continuously performs preventive maintenance
Cleaning and maintaining safe work spaces
Assist with picking inventory for production
Troubleshoot product and installation discrepancies
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) like gloves, goggles, and respirators.
Qualifications/Skills:
Basic hand tool skills required
Automotive shop Experience preferred
12v Wiring and circuitry knowledge a plus
Equipment maintenance
Valid drivers license required
Proficient time management
Strong attention to detail and good judgement
Ability to lift 50Lbs
Must be reliable and self-motivated

Schedule:
Full time
8-hour Day shift
Monday through Friday
Overtime opportunities available
This is an active, hands-on role that requires:
Standing, walking, and handling tools for the length of an 8-hour shift. Lifting and moving up to 50 pounds as needed. Good vision (close, distance, and color) and manual dexterity for precise tasks. The willingness to roll up your sleeves, get dirty, apply yourself and take pride in the work we are doing and the products we are building.
