Responsibilities

As a Director on the Investor Services team, you will be part of the global team, within the Hines Investment Management platform, supporting Hines’ institutional client capital raising strategy. The team is responsible for managing the pre-commitment stage of investor engagement, extending from sales enablement to due diligence activities. You will manage internal stakeholders’ needs in order to effectively market the firm’s platform and enable sales of our US institutional investment products. This position will report to the Senior Director, Investor Services. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Proactively draft persuasive due diligence content with marketing mindset, bringing continual improvement to the firm’s responses; utilizing AI to create efficiencies in doing so

  • Act as escalation point for review of sensitive topics and resolve in collaboration with requisite teams

  • Act as back up resource for senior review of DDQs (cover busy periods, vacations etc.)

  • Proactively draft due diligence content and improve content in existing library

  • Liaise with Marcomm and other internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and a OneHines voice

  • Keep team abreast of new/updated content across the firm and any firm or fund level material changes



Qualifications

Minimum Requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales, writing, finance, business, or related field from an accredited institution

  • MBA preferred but not required

  • Six or more years’ experience of creative writing or established written communications background

  • Experience working for an investment manager

  • Prior experience managing complex projects in a deadline-driven environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proactive, can-do, problem solver attitude

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently in a deadline-drive environment

  • Strong collaboration skills, evidenced by a team player mindset

  • Evidence of high attention to detail

  • Willingness to quickly learn new software/technology platforms

  • Compensation: Houston: To be discussed; NYC: $189,000 - $227,000 + bonus incentive
