Mission Yogurt, Inc. is a boutique concessionaire company that operates restaurants primarily in high-traffic airports, including Denver International Airport and San Diego International Airport. Mission operates a wide range of concepts, including fast food, fast-casual, full-service restaurants, and retail stores.
The HR Operations Specialist plays a critical role in building and scaling the company’s people infrastructure. This role focuses on translating people strategy and regulatory requirements into operational systems, data, and processes that enable leaders to make informed decisions, ensure compliance, and drive organizational performance. This position partners closely with HR and the business to ensure that HR programs are data- informed, scalable, operationally effective, and compliant with multi-state employment regulations. The role proactively identifies trends, risks, and opportunities across the employee lifecycle, with a particular focus on operational gaps, workforce risk, and evolving compliance requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design, optimize, and document HR processes across the employee lifecycle (hire, pay, performance, mobility, exit).
Drive HRIS optimization, system integrations, and process automation to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
Serve as the operational backbone for HR initiatives, translating strategic priorities into executable plans and measurable outcomes.
Oversee benefits administration in partnership with vendors and brokers, ensuring accurate enrollment, compliance, and employee experience.
Conduct compensation analysis, modeling, and benchmarking to support pay decisions, job architecture, and equity reviews.
Develop tools and frameworks to support consistent, data-driven compensation decisions.
Translate regulatory requirements into HR processes, policies, and HRIS workflows.
Partner with HR Managers to identify compliance risks and trends surfaced through employee relations and policy issues.
Build reporting and dashboards to track compliance indicators and workforce risk.
Build and maintain dashboards, metrics, and reporting across key people indicators (headcount, turnover, engagement, performance, DEI, compensation, compliance).
Identify trends and risks surfaced through employee relations and compliance activity, in partnership with HR Managers.
Provide actionable insights to HR leadership and business leaders to inform decisions and priorities.
Act as the primary execution partner to the HR Lead, ensuring initiatives move from concept to implementation.
Partner with HR Managers to surface operational gaps, systemic issues, and opportunities for improvement.
Support organizational initiatives such as workforce planning, org design, performance management, and integration efforts.

QUALIFICATIONS:
3-6 years of progressive HR experience, with strong exposure to HR operations, analytics, or systems.
Demonstrated experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., UKG, ADP, Paylocity, Workday, or similar).
Strong analytical and modeling skills (Excel/Sheets; experience with dashboards a plus).
Ability to translate strategy into structured plans and operational outcomes.
High attention to detail with a systems-oriented mindset.
Strong stakeholder partnership and communication skills.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE EQUIVALENCY:
Two years of the appropriate type and level of experience will serve as an equivalency to one year of education.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to alternate between sitting and standing for up to 10 hours a day.
Position requires prolonged sitting, bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching overhead.
Lifting products and supplies weighing 20 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
Repetitive hand and wrist motion.
