General Cleaner | Full-Time 2nd Shift | $15.50 per hour in Fairfield, Ohio at FCS Facility Services

Position: General Cleaner | Full-Time

Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 2:30 PM–1:00 AM (40 hours/week)

Pay Rate: $15.50 per hour

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented General Cleaner to join our team. The General Cleaner is responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and sanitary facilities by performing a variety of routine cleaning and janitorial duties.

The ideal candidate is dependable, takes pride in their work, follows instructions and safety procedures, and is committed to providing high-quality service to our clients.

• Clean and sanitize floors, walls, windows, furniture, fixtures, and other assigned areas using appropriate cleaning products and equipment.
• Dust, wipe, and polish surfaces to maintain a clean and presentable environment.
• Vacuum carpets and rugs and sweep and mop hard-surface floors, including corners and hard-to-reach areas.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, countertops, and other fixtures.
• Replenish restroom supplies, including soap, paper towels, and toilet paper, as needed.
• Empty trash receptacles, replace liners, and properly dispose of trash and recyclable materials.
• Monitor and restock cleaning and restroom supplies as needed.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and properly.
• Use cleaning chemicals according to company procedures and manufacturer instructions.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, damaged equipment, or supply shortages to a supervisor.
• Work independently and as part of a team to complete assigned cleaning tasks efficiently and according to company standards.

• Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
• Previous commercial cleaning or janitorial experience preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of basic cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and established cleaning procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to remain on your feet and physically active throughout the shift.
• Able to bend, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new cleaning methods and procedures.
• Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
