BASIC FUNCTION:
Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent of Business Services, plan, develop, organize and coordinate the comprehensive activities of the District's fiscal services; coordinate and assist with the development and implementation of efficient fiscal operations; supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:
Plan, develop, organize and coordinate the comprehensive activities of the District's fiscal services including accounting, budgeting, payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, purchasing, ASB and related financial functions; assist with the development and implementation of efficient fiscal operations including charter school oversight. E
Plan, organize and direct the internal business office operations; assure accurate and timely recording of receipts of revenues and expenditures. E
Recommend and update the District's accounting procedures and structure as necessary to comply with District, County, State and Federal requirements; plan, organize and conduct in-service workshops for District personnel regarding policies, procedures and financial record-keeping and reporting requirements. E
Assist with short-and long-range analysis and projection of District income and expenditures to facilitate administrative planning; analyze growth, development and changes which may affect District operations. E
Select and train support personnel; supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel. E
Assist schools and the District office personnel in the development of budget requests; compile and analyze budget requests and prepare recommendations for District budget including an analysis of income and expenditures for administrative and policy review. E
Plan, organize and supervise the compilation, preparation and reporting of attendance and enrollment data; oversee the preparation and submittal of claims and other reports as assigned; assure proper storage, maintenance and retrieval of various financial records. E
Organize statistical and financial activities and prepare statistical reports as directed. E
Compile, organize, prepare and interpret a wide variety of County, State, and Federal financial reports as directed; prepare and maintain a variety of records and reports related to assigned fiscal activities. E
Provide for the proper receipt, disbursement and accounting of District funds. E
Develop and document accounting and internal control procedures; review financial transactions and assure compliance with legal requirements and District policies. E
Assure the propriety and legality of various financial transactions and disbursements. E
Plan, develop, organize and apply appropriate data processing and mechanized methods to the business services functions and augment as needed.
Oversee District bank accounts.
Perform related duties as assigned.

Valid California driver's license.
