About This Position
Credentialing Specialist
ELIGIBLE FOR CMH EMPLOYEE REFERRAL BONUS: NON PRIORITY RECRUITMENT
Under the direction of the Patient Financial Services Manager and according to the established policies and procedures, the Credentialing Specialist is responsible for the coordination of functions related to insurance credentialing and re-credentialing of health care providers and/or facilities and maintains provider credentialing files.
Job Requirements
Ability to organize and prioritize work and manage multiple priorities.Knowledge of payer policies. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including, letters, memos, and emails. Ability to interact and communicate with providers, all levels of management, payers and support staff. Proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel and internet resources.Must be a self-starter capable of working independently.
License/Certification: N/A
Education and/or Experience:
Payer credentialing experience preferred; Associates Degree in Business or Related field preferred
Physical Demands and Work Environment Conditions / ADA Compliance
Position involves standing, walking, stooping, and occasional carrying and lifting of lightweight materials (up to 20 pounds). May be required to sit for extended periods of time. Requires visual acuity and depth perception to recognize words and numbers; and hand and finger dexterity and hand/eye coordination for filing and to be able to use a computer keyboard and common office equipment.
