Kraken Robotics is currently recruiting electronic/electrical/electromechanical Technologist(s) to join our production team as a Production Support Technologist at our Dartmouth, Nova Scotia Office.
The Production Support Technologist will be responsible for the daily activities in their work area for our Subsea Battery Systems. (https://www.krakenrobotics.com/products/seapower/ )
The ideal candidate(s) will have hands-on experience working in a manufacturing environment and demonstrate a strong commitment to Safety, Quality, Innovations, Continuous improvement and Teamwork. You will not only lead a team, but you are a part of the team and help where needed to meet daily targets. Maintaining an organized, high-functioning workspace are essential for success in this role.
The successful applicant(s) will have an opportunity to work in our brand-new facility in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Co-ordinate and supervise daily production activities in your assigned area to meet daily production goals
- Ensure processes are adhered to and provide constructive feedback to operators
- Train and Mentor assigned team to ensure compliance with all health, safety, quality and production processes
- Assemble, test, troubleshoot and repair various assemblies
- Use of a variety of hand and power tools for daily assembly and maintenance tasks
- Electrical integration of components according to schematics, drawing and assembly instructions
- Ensure work is prepared for the next work orders and ready to go
- Collaborate with Production Support Team and Engineering to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
- Keep equipment operational by completing basic preventive maintenance
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Perform other related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Diploma in Engineering Technology, or other Technical Diploma with experience
- 2–3 years of hands-on experience in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Chemical or Electromechanical engineering or technology
- Proficient with electrical test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and electronic loads
- Able to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a production team
- Physically able to lift and handle components up to 50 lbs
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
