Line Set-Up Mechanic at QuestSpecialty – Wayne, Michigan

Position Overview

The Fill Room Line Set Up Mechanic is responsible for setting up the product line for the fill room. Facilitates hooking up totes to pump, sets up machinery such as marble dropper, fill heads, crimpers and propellant gassing heads relevant to the days production run. Helps with washouts of product line to prepare for new product run.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform complete set up of line:

• Marble Dropper
• Fill Heads
• Fill Weights
• Valve Dropper and Locators
• Crimpers
• Gassing Station
• Can Rails
• Ensure washouts are done correctly and in a timely manner.
• Proper filter in filter housing.
• Can specifications match product information sheet.
• Thorough line wash out to rid lines of all old product.
• All washout product waste is properly labeled and stored in drum.

During Operation:

• Fill weights checked and maintained
• Crimpers are inspected and operating properly
• Verify correct valves are being used
• Gas weights are monitored and corrected when needed
• Marble dropper hopper remains half full
• Perform visual checks on all grounds including gashouse

Required Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience working in a production environment is preferred. Must have solid knowledge of manufacturing equipment operation.
