About This Position

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in the annual consolidated audit and quarterly review process.

• Maintain effective internal controls in accordance with SOX regulations.

• Active interface with external Auditors, including working through technical issues with the assistance of the Accounting Manager and/or Controller.

• Perform daily accounting activities to maintain timely and accurate cash flow reporting.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for internal and external reviews.

• Prepare monthly journal entries required for financial statements to follow US GAAP.

• Prepare monthly reconciliations.

• Assist in financial and administrative processes to ensure compliance with respect to policies, procedures, SOX controls and relevant regulations as determined by the Controller.

• Prepare SEC Reporting related to 8-K, 10-Q, 10-K and other filings as required.

• Prepare and deliver financial analyses to be reviewed with the Accounting Manager and Controller.

• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement automation tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.

• Build partnerships and relationships across the organization and externally, that lead to the highest levels of collaboration and effectiveness.

• Directs and supports the consistent implementation of SANUWAVE objectives.

• Comply with all local, state, federal, national, and international regulations and directives.

• Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• BS in Accounting or Finance, CPA strongly preferred.

• Minimum of 2+ years of relevant accounting experience.

• Public company and/or SEC reporting experience strongly preferred.

• Knowledge of internal controls structures.

• Technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including revenue recognition.

• Good working knowledge of SEC regulations and requirements of filings.

• Strong business acumen and analytical skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

• Broad conceptual judgment, initiative and ability to deal with complex accounting issues.

• Problem solving and analytical skills required.

• Able to function with urgency in high-pressure situations.

• Demonstrated business acumen with the proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.

• Early stage/start up experience strongly preferred.
