Loss Mitigation Specialist in Hamilton, Alabama at CIS Financial Services Inc

Summary

Responsible for establishing contact and communicating with borrowers, investors and attorneys in an attempt to resolve at-risk mortgages.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Process loss mitigation packages, with an end goal of minimizing loss due to foreclosure.
• Create and update any needed loss mitigation reports to ensure all cases are worked in a timely fashion.
• Track payments and progress of loss mitigation assistance participants.
• Communicate professionally (verbal and written) with borrowers, attorneys, and CIS employees.
• Stay up to date on applicable guidelines to ensure proper loss mitigation steps are followed.
• Establish and maintain an efficient and productive working environment within the department based on continuous and effective staff communication.
• Work with accounting to review and approve payments during loss mitigation process.
• Assist loan counselors with questions as they work with borrower before, during, and after loss mitigation review.
• Successfully interact with management and other CIS personnel to improve procedures and efficiencies.
• Perform other job related duties as assigned.
