Job Description
REG RESPIRATORY THERAPIST REGISTRY

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
-
The Respiratory Care Practitioner provides Respiratory Care modalities to patients as ordered by physicians, including but not limited to the administration of respiratory related medications, oxygen and humidity therapies, airway clearance therapy, invasive and non-invasive ventilation, etc., in accordance to established policy and procedure and based on accepted national standards, practices and regulatory requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

Professional/Educational
-
RRT Licensed in the State of Illinois required.

Certified by the American Heart Association in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
-
Certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or must receive within 90 days of hire.
-
Certified by the American Heart Association in ACLS and PALS, highly recommended.
-
1 year experience with critical care required.

DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.

Works effectively with others, possessing tact, discretion and diplomacy.

Demonstrates leadership and teaching ability.

Possesses the ability to work under pressure.
