About This Position

Overview

As an engineering support specialist at Scag Power Equipment located in Mayville WI, you will support Scag Engineering by managing information and data in our enterprise resource planning system (SAP). SAP is used to drive the company to forecast, order, and stock components to build the Scag products. This role is critical to meeting manufacturing production builds, managing part life cycles, and service parts support.



Responsibilities

  • Work with new project engineering team members on collecting and defining new product bills of material and manufacturing routings.
  • Responsible for creation and maintenance of bills of materials and shop routings in SAP. This information is critical to driving our teams in operations, purchasing, and accounting to build our Scag and Bluebird products.
  • Apply correct system status codes to Scag parts and products to allow parts to be purchased, produced, transferred, consumed, and sold.
  • Work with customer service team on service part data management including releasing, substituting, and obsoleting service parts.
  • Process Internal and external revisions and communicate with our teams the details of the revision.
  • Work with project engineers on processing ECN’s to give direction to the rest of the company on release, revision and obsolescence of parts.
  • Process PCR’s (production change requests) from the manufacturing plants as it relates to routings, print changes, bill of material changes.
  • Explore and research product family structure in SAP master data to determine part usage history to determine strategy for part serviceability (duration, obsoletion, and substitution).
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications

    • Ready to learn all aspects of this position.
    • Technical degree in engineering or related field preferred
    • Must be meticulous with job tasks.
    • Experience working i or at a manufacturing facility.
    • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work with minimal supervision.
    • Strong computer skills.
    • Knowledge of SAP is preferred.
