Due to massive growth, we are looking to add a dynamic and experienced Director of National Production Management, to lead and oversee the daily operations of our Production Managers in a fast-paced Tradeshow General Services Contractor environment. This role will be responsible for ensuring seamless pre-show planning and onsite execution of our events across the country. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in event production, logistics, team leadership, and operational efficiency within the tradeshow/corporate events industry.
You will report directly to the COO. Position can be done remotely but must be willing to travel to various events as well as to train Production Managers.
Salary is $115-140k.
What you’ll do:
- Oversee and manage a team of Production Managers, residing across the USA, responsible for pre-show planning and onsite execution.
- Provide mentorship, training, and performance management to enhance team effectiveness.
- Identify and recruit additional production managers
- Develop and implement best practices for event production and operational efficiencies.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align production strategies with company goals.
- Ensure the successful planning, scheduling, and execution of all tradeshow events.
- Work closely with Production Managers to coordinate labor, equipment, and logistics.
- Oversee onsite execution, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and client expectations.
- Support troubleshooting and resolution of production-related challenges during events.
- Standardize processes and workflows to improve efficiency across multiple events and locations.
- Ensure team is providing world class service standards to our customers
- Identify and implement new technologies and tools to enhance productivity.
- Monitor labor budgets, resource allocation, and cost controls to optimize profitability.
- Establish performance metrics to measure and improve team success.
- Work with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth event operations.
- Address client concerns and implement solutions to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Maintain strong relationships with labor partners and suppliers.
Who You Are:
- 5+ years of experience in event production, operations, or tradeshow management (General Services Contractor experience required).
- Proven leadership experience managing remote and onsite teams.
- Strong understanding of pre-show planning, logistics, and onsite execution.
- Experience in all the various Tradeshow Disciplines (Deco, Freight, System – BeMatrix, I&D Labor, Overhead Rigging, etc.)
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in event management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel extensively as needed for mentoring of PMs.
