This role will be in Macedon, NY.

WHAT WE NEED

The Maintenance Manager leads all maintenance and reliability operations to ensure optimal plant performance. This includes managing maintenance systems, budgets, inventory (MRO), equipment reliability, and technical skills development. The role also supports capital projects and leads a cross-shift maintenance and utilities team. A key focus is on developing a high-performing team through coaching, mentoring, and continuous learning.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Lead the maintenance team in safe, efficient execution of all maintenance activities.
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Recruit, train, and develop maintenance personnel across all shifts.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to build technical and leadership capabilities.
  • Create individualized development plans and learning opportunities for team members.
  • Facilitate cross-training and succession planning to build a resilient, flexible team.
  • Ensure compliance with USDA, FDA, OSHA, and EPA regulations.
  • Manage departmental budgets and optimize maintenance costs.
  • Drive equipment reliability through preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
  • Implement TPM and Lean Six Sigma initiatives with a focus on Autonomous Maintenance and employee engagement.
  • Coordinate major maintenance and capital projects with production and engineering.
  • Train staff on CMMS, problem-solving, and maintenance best practices.
  • Track and report KPIs; lead toolbox meetings and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Oversee utilities and wastewater operations to meet production needs.
  • Maintain MRO inventory to minimize downtime and support efficient operations.
  • Support CAPEX planning and execution aligned with long-term facility goals.
  • Promote a learning culture by encouraging innovation, knowledge sharing, and technical growth.

Required Education/Experience:

  • Associate degree in a technical field required; Bachelor’s in Engineering preferred.
  • 7+ years in electromechanical maintenance; 2+ years in people management.
  • Proven experience in team leadership, mentoring, and talent development.
  • Experience in food/pharma manufacturing and regulatory compliance.
  • CMRP certification is a plus.
