Pitt-Bradford—a NCAA Division III institution—is looking for a Swimming Coach Intern. This is a temporary, on-site, 10-month position.
Duties: Primarily reporting to the head swim coach, the assistant coach will support the head coach in all phases of the swim program. Responsibilities include coaching and teaching (75%) and administrative duties (25%).
Coaching responsibilities:
- Assist with and provide instruction during practices and matches.
Support player development through individual and team sessions.
Recruiting responsibilities:
- Assist with both on-campus and off-campus recruiting efforts.
- Coordinate campus visits for prospective student-athletes.
Administrative duties:
- Monitor academic progress and provide support for student-athletes.
- Assist with contest management and event operations as needed.
Wage: Pennsylvania state minimum wage at 37.5 hours per week. This position includes housing and a meal plan.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of 1 year of playing and/or coaching experience at the college level.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a diverse community.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and travel as needed.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment.
- First Aid, CPR, and AED Certifications required.
