About This Position
Overview
Responsibilities
High school diploma or GED. Ability to safely transfer equipment, supplies, specimens and blood. Excellent communication with public and staff. Strong customer service experience. Must have a positive and pleasant attitude. Ability to prioritize daily tasks to maximize efficiency and patient experience. Ability to multitask and function in stressful situations. Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions in English. Must be completed within 90 days of hire: Qualifications
- Transports medical equipment, mail, labs, blood products and supplies to and from various locations within the OHSU environment. These locations are, but not limited to: nursing units, diagnostic areas, clinics, exam rooms, operating rooms, laboratories, south waterfront campuses, morgue or offices.
- Operates elevators for patient and equipment movement. Relieves elevator operators for breaks.
- Cleans and disinfects transportation medical equipment: stretchers, wheelchairs, morgue carts, HoverMatts, pillows and utility transport carts.
- Other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- In-house biohazardous items handling
- Other compass modules as assigned
- Healthcare or hospital experience.
- Experience in safe transporting of specimens, blood products, equipment and supplies.
