System Administrator - Cleared at RightDirection Technology Solutions – Rosslyn, Virginia

RDTS is seeking a Cleared System Administrator to support the Foreign Service Institute (FSI) of the U.S. Dept of State. The mission of the FSI is to provide high-quality, innovative training, and resources to empower foreign affairs professionals to advance U.S. foreign policy to serve the American people.

The System Administrator shall support the Information Assurance Support Services program. The position is fully onsite in Rosslyn, VA, full-time with standard office hours (Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm), and available immediately upon clearance verification. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Provide installation, implementation, and problem resolution support for COTS and custom designed applications.
• Provide technical assistance to users experiencing trouble with their applications.
• Troubleshoot problems utilizing diagnostic software when possible. For problems that cannot be immediately corrected, prepare an issue/instance report recommending necessary course of action to remedy situation.
• Install and test new PC hardware and software.
• Ensure that all newly installed computers, peripherals, or boards are in working order and logged into the inventory.
• Install and test new PC software, ensure that it is working properly and logged into the inventory.
• Interview the staff to determine hardware and application needs.
• Install LAN hardware and software strictly adhering to Security Configuration Standards.
• Provide telephone support to LAN users.
• Utilize ticketing system to manage tickets.

• Active Security Clearance
• Minimum four (4) years of related experience
• Experience supporting Dept of State, desired
