Position Summary

The Dishwasher plays a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming dining experience for residents, team members, and guests. This position is responsible for washing and sanitizing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, assisting with general kitchen cleaning, and supporting the dining team in providing excellent service to our senior living community.

Responsibilities

Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.

Maintain cleanliness of dish room, kitchen, and storage areas according to health and safety standards.

Remove trash, recycling, and kitchen waste promptly and properly.

Assist with food preparation and restocking supplies as needed.

Follow all infection control, sanitation, and safety procedures.

Work cooperatively with team members to support smooth meal service.

Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisor.

Perform other duties as assigned to support the dining services team.

Qualifications

Prior dishwashing or kitchen experience preferred, but not required.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods.

Strong attention to cleanliness, safety, and detail.

Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to help where needed.

Dependable and able to follow instructions and schedules.

Work Environment

Senior living community with daily resident interaction.

Exposure to heat, steam, and cleaning chemicals.

Flexible schedule may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
