OR Tech - Surgery, Per Diem, Day Shift at KPC Global Medical Centers Inc – Victorville, California

JOB TITLE: Surgical Technician

REPORTS TO: Director, Surgical Services

POSITION SUMMARY: Assist surgeons in all aspects of the operating room procedures. Work under the supervision of a surgeon and RN to facilitate the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures, ensuring that the operating room environment is safe, that equipment functions properly, and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety. Performs all other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Completion of Surgical Tech training program preferred and completion of a minimum of six weeks clinical OR rotation preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Completion of a formal Surgical Technician training program preferred and current BLS. Surgical Tech certification preferred.
