About This Position
We are seeking a Full-Time Life Safety Inspection & Repair Technician to bolster our Service Division. The primary responsibility of the Service Technician is to provide exceptional service by servicing, repairing, and replacing Fire Sprinkler products. Additionally, the Service Technician will be responsible for programming fire sprinkler systems to prescribed standards, identifying code and non-conformance issues, and preparing accurate and timely service ticket reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service, repair, and replace Fire Sprinkler products in accordance with company standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Program fire sprinkler systems to meet prescribed standards and ensure optimal functionality.
- Identify and address code and non-conformance issues promptly and effectively.
- Prepare detailed and accurate service ticket reports for each service call, documenting work performed and any recommendations for further action.
- Maintain a high level of technical proficiency and stay abreast of industry developments and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations while performing job duties.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or training in fire sprinkler systems preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in servicing and maintaining fire sprinkler systems.
- NICET Level 2 certification or higher is a must.
- Current and working knowledge of testing, inspecting, and repairing fire pumps, pre-action systems, and FM 200 systems.
- Strong technical aptitude and proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Flexibility to work in various site and weather conditions, including occasional evenings and weekends.
- Must pass a criminal background check for Military and Government sites
- Must be able to work nights and weekends, and travel in and out of state.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
