Created 9/26/2025.Employees Role-Departments.Lab Tech 1 Job Title: Lab/QA technician Department: Quality Assurance Reports To: QA Supervisor Position Summary: The Lab/QA technician is responsible for ensuring quality, safety and consistency of all products through routine lab testing and production line inspections. This role plays a key part in upholding food safety standards and regulatory compliance. In addition to performing analytical and sensory tests, the Lab/QA technician is expected to enforce PPE and safety protocols across all production and lab areas. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct routine lab testing on raw materials, in process, and finished products (Ph, Brix, viscosity, sensory, etc.) • Monitor and verify Critical Control Points during production • Accurately record and report test results using internal documentation systems • Calibrate, maintain and sanitize lab equipment • Perform on-the-floor quality checks and ensure compliance with company specifications • Enforce PPE and safety protocols • Immediately correct or report any PPE or safety violations to supervisors • Support investigations for non-conforming products or safety incidents • Assist in internal audits and regulatory inspections (FDA, SQF, etc.) • Promote a culture of food safety and accountability on the production floor • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or leads Required Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent • 1+ year of QA or food manufacturing experience preferred • Strong understanding of HACCP, GMPs, and food safety standards • Attention to detail and willingness to take ownership of quality and safety • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
