Magnolia Companies’ New Construction Division is seeking an experienced Mechanical Pipefitter to join our team. This position is responsible for the assembly, installation, and maintenance of piping systems and mechanical equipment for air, chemical, and water systems within commercial new construction projects.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 years of commercial pipefitting experience, strong knowledge of industry standards and code-compliant construction practices, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings.
Candidates should have hands-on experience with steel pipe fitting, mechanical equipment installation, and new construction installations.
Responsibilities
- Assemble, install, and maintain piping systems, pipe supports, and related mechanical equipment.
- Install piping systems for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkler, and industrial processing applications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to determine piping layouts, materials, dimensions, and installation procedures.
- Measure, cut, thread, bend, and install metal, plastic, copper, and fiberglass piping and fittings.
- Install and maintain pipe supports, valves, flow regulators, actuators, and control systems.
- Install mechanical equipment according to project specifications and industry standards.
- Test piping systems and equipment to ensure proper operation and compliance with requirements.
- Troubleshoot and repair leaks, blockages, flow issues, and other piping system problems.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections of installed systems.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain compliance with construction standards and codes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience as a commercial Mechanical Pipefitter.
- Experience with new construction installations required.
- Commercial pipefitting experience required; residential experience will not be considered relevant.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards and code-compliant construction practices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and specifications.
- Proven experience with steel pipe fitting.
- Proven ability to install mechanical equipment.
- Experience using hand tools and power tools, including pipe cutters, threading machines, and pipe-bending equipment.
- Ability to measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to required specifications.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Must be able to successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
