Job Description
Senior Billing Operations Analyst
About the role:
As a Senior Billing Operations Analyst, you will serve as a subject matter expert and operational lead within billing function, owing complex manual billing processes, driving data accuracy through rigorous reconciliation, and leading initiatives that improve how we bill and recognize revenue across our product portfolio.
This is a high-impact, execution-oriented role for someone who is equally comfortable heads-down resolving a billing discrepancy and reviewing month-over-month flux analysis. You will operate independently, develop best practices, and serve as a trusted cross-functional partner across Sales, Success, RevOps, AR/Collections, and Finance.
What You’ll Own
· Complex Manual Billing Execution: Process end-to-end high-volume and non-standard billing arrangements across multiple entities, including custom enterprise contracts, mid-term amendments, usage-based fees, and multi-product bundles.
· Data Integrity & Reconciliation: Audit and reconcile billing data across Salesforce, internal systems, and Accounts Receivable ledgers to ensure 100% alignment between executed deal terms and customer invoicing.
· Variance & Flux Analysis: Perform month-over-month (MoM) flux analysis on billing and revenue metrics. Investigate root causes for discrepancies and articulate key findings clearly to Revenue Accounting and Finance leadership.
· Contract & Salesforce CPQ Review: Review executed contracts prior to invoicing to validate billing schedules, ensure accurate CPQ configuration, and proactively eliminate error sources before customer delivery.
· Cross-Functional Partnership: Serve as the primary Billing SME for Sales, Legal, and Revenue Accounting teams. Advise on commercial deal structuring and rapidly resolve complex customer billing escalations.
· Process Optimization & System Migration: Partner with Business Systems teams to automate manual workflows. Actively support system migration initiatives, including UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and data validation for our Salesforce CPQ+Billing and Workday implementations.
· Reporting & Ad Hoc Analytics: Build, maintain, and optimize custom Salesforce and Excel billing reports to support leadership decision-making and satisfy ad hoc audit or data requests.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 4+ years of hands-on experience in billing, accounts receivable, or revenue operations within a fast-paced environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Technical Skills: Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, dynamic reconciliation models, and data manipulation).
- Analytical Mindset: Proven ability to perform month-over-month flux analysis, reconcile complex datasets, and pinpoint underlying operational root causes.
- Communication & Collaboration: Strong written and verbal communication skills with a track record of translating complex financial and technical details for non-finance partners.
- Adaptability & Drive: High level of self-direction and organization; comfortable prioritizing multiple competing deliverables under tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce or Salesforce CPQ
- Strong understanding of SaaS, recurring revenue and subscription-based billing models.
- Direct experience with end-to-end Order-to-Cash (O2C) workflows and contract management.
- Prior involvement in system implementation, ERP migration, or operational process transformation.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, and Revenue Accounting teams
- Hybrid setup with onsite reporting at One Ayala, Makati once or twice per month.
- US business hours, 12:00 AM to 9:00 AM Manila Time.
