Job Description
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Integrated Geologist in India.
This role sits at the core of integrated subsurface teams, supporting the interpretation and delivery of geological insights that directly influence reservoir management and field development decisions. You will work in a highly collaborative environment alongside geophysicists, reservoir engineers, and production teams to build a coherent understanding of complex oil and gas assets. The position focuses on integrating multiple data types—including seismic, well logs, core, and production data—to develop robust geological frameworks. You will play a key role in identifying uncertainties, evaluating subsurface risks, and shaping strategies that improve recovery from mature fields. The role also involves contributing to production optimization and development planning through high-quality geological interpretation. This is a technically hands-on position suited for experienced geoscientists who enjoy solving complex subsurface challenges. You will also engage in adopting modern digital tools and workflows to enhance interpretation accuracy and efficiency.
- Interpret and integrate geological, geophysical, petrophysical, and dynamic data to build and refine structural, stratigraphic, and reservoir frameworks.
- Deliver high-quality integrated subsurface descriptions to support production, depletion, and field development planning.
- Analyze seismic, well logs, core data, and production information to improve understanding of reservoir behavior and geology.
- Identify, assess, and communicate subsurface uncertainties and risks to support decision-making and mitigation planning.
- Support reservoir management and production optimization initiatives aimed at enhancing recovery from existing fields.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including reservoir engineers, geophysicists, and production technologists.
- Contribute to well planning and development activities by providing geological inputs and scenario evaluations.
- Support adoption of digital workflows and new geoscience technologies to improve interpretation efficiency and accuracy.
- Share technical knowledge, mentor peers, and contribute to continuous improvement within the geoscience community.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology, Geoscience, or a related earth sciences discipline.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in geoscience roles within oil & gas exploration, development, or production environments.
- Strong expertise in seismic interpretation and subsurface interpretation workflows (e.g., Petrel or equivalent tools).
- Proven ability to integrate static and dynamic datasets for reservoir characterization and subsurface modeling.
- Experience working on appraisal, development, or mature field production projects.
- Strong understanding of reservoir geology, depositional systems, and structural frameworks.
- Ability to clearly communicate complex subsurface concepts, risks, and uncertainties to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated collaboration skills in multidisciplinary and cross-functional team environments.
- Experience with subsurface modeling, resource evaluation, or reservoir performance analysis is a plus.
- Exposure to agile workflows or digital geoscience tools is an advantage.
- Competitive compensation aligned with experience and industry standards.
- Opportunity to work on complex, large-scale oil and gas assets with high technical impact.
- Exposure to integrated subsurface teams and global geoscience experts.
- Strong emphasis on technical learning, innovation, and professional development.
- Collaborative and inclusive work environment focused on safety and knowledge sharing.
- Career growth opportunities within a global energy organization.
- Relocation support within the country, where applicable.
- Flexible and supportive policies designed to promote work-life balance.
