As a Business Development Representative, you'll be at the forefront of our growth, building and owning our insurance agent channel from the ground up. We offer a base salary of $65,000 – $80,000, with a commission structure that rewards you for every referral relationship you nurture. Our team believes in rewarding strong performance, and we expect top performers to clear $100,000 in their first year. You'll also enjoy an upside performance bonus on all sourced revenue, along with benefits like health insurance, paid time off, and a company vehicle. Responsibilities:
What You’ll Do
- Identify, prospect, and build relationships with independent and captive insurance agents in your assigned territory
- Convert agents into active referral partners who send their insured clients directly to RNI when losses occur
- Maintain consistent touchpoints with your agent network: lunches, office visits, and check-in calls to stay top of mind when a claim happens
- Track your pipeline, referral activity, and partner performance; report on territory development progress weekly
- Collaborate with RNI’s mitigation and reconstruction teams to ensure every agent-referred client receives an exceptional experience
Qualifications:
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in outside sales, business development, or relationship-based selling. Restoration, insurance, or adjacent industries strongly preferred
- Understanding of the insurance claims process and how agents influence contractor selection during a loss event
- Self-starter mindset. Comfortable cold-walking into an agent's office, following up relentlessly, and playing the long game to earn trust
- Strong interpersonal skills. People genuinely enjoy talking to you, and you know how to make people feel taken care of
- Organized and accountable. You track your own activity, hit your commitments, and don’t need to be managed
