DAY SHIFT Certified Nursing Assistant - $5,500 Sign On Bonus
Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team in a Day Shift CNA position. Shifts typically go from 6am to 6pm, on a "wagon wheel" schedule:
Week 1:
Work Monday–Tuesday
Off Wednesday–Thursday
Work Friday–Saturday–Sunday
Week 2:
Off Monday–Tuesday
Work Wednesday–Thursday
Off Friday–Saturday–Sunday
The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in the Skilled Nursing Setting. This position requires a strong commitment to patient well-being and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for patients.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
- Provide catheter care and assist with other medical procedures as directed by nursing staff.
- Support patients in rehabilitation exercises and mobility assistance.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient needs and changes in condition.
- Document patient care activities accurately in medical records.
- Assist in preparing patients for examinations or procedures in outpatient or emergency medicine settings.

Requirements:Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Licenses/Certification
- Valid certification as a CNA in the state of employment.
- Valid CPR certificate preferred.
Experience
- Six months experience in a long term-care environment preferred.
NOTE: A CNA who successfully completes an approved advanced skills training curriculum and/or has demonstrated experience in a needed clinical specialty area, e.g. ventilator, pulmonary, and tracheostomy (VPT), can be classified as a CNA II.
