HIL - Cooler Loadout in Kansas City, Missouri at Prairie Farms Dairy, Inc.

Belfonte Ice Cream Co. is currently looking to fill a position in our cooler to help load trucks. This position in Tuesday - Saturday 7am - 4pm.

About the Role:

The HIL - Cooler Loadout position is a critical role focused on the efficient and accurate preparation and dispatch of cooler units within a manufacturing or distribution environment. The primary objective is to ensure that all cooler products are loaded, organized, and shipped according to company standards and customer requirements, maintaining product integrity and safety throughout the process. This role requires close collaboration with inventory, quality control, and logistics teams to coordinate timely loadouts and resolve any discrepancies or issues that may arise. The successful candidate will contribute to optimizing workflow processes, minimizing delays, and supporting overall operational excellence. Ultimately, this position plays a vital part in meeting delivery schedules and enhancing customer satisfaction through reliable and precise cooler loadout operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in warehouse operations, material handling, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of inventory management and shipping procedures.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment safely.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience specifically in cooler or refrigeration product handling.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics software.
• Forklift certification or other relevant equipment operation licenses.
• Understanding of safety regulations related to cold storage and transportation.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare cooler units for loadout by verifying product specifications, quantities, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with warehouse and logistics personnel to schedule and execute timely loading of coolers onto transport vehicles.
• Inspect packaging and secure products to prevent damage during transit, adhering to safety and compliance guidelines.
• Maintain accurate documentation of loadout activities, including shipment records and inventory updates.
• Identify and report any issues related to product quality, inventory discrepancies, or loading procedures to management for prompt resolution.

Skills:

In this role, the candidate will utilize their organizational skills daily to ensure that cooler units are accurately prepared and loaded according to schedule, minimizing errors and delays. Attention to detail is essential when verifying product specifications and maintaining shipment documentation to uphold quality standards. Communication skills are employed to coordinate effectively with warehouse staff, logistics teams, and management, ensuring smooth operations and quick resolution of any issues. Familiarity with inventory and warehouse management systems enhances efficiency in tracking products and managing loadout workflows.
