Position Summary
The Vehicle Evaluation Analyst is responsible for evaluating vehicle performance through road testing and operational assessments to identify noise, vibration, harshness (NVH), drivability concerns, and overall quality issues. This role supports Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams by documenting vehicle concerns, assisting with troubleshooting activities, and validating corrective actions. The selected candidate will utilize strong observational skills, mechanical aptitude, and structured problem-solving techniques to identify and communicate vehicle performance concerns. Knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T, and quality tools will support effective root cause investigations and continuous improvement initiatives. This position offers the opportunity to work on multiple vehicle programs in a fast-paced automotive environment while contributing to the delivery of high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct vehicle road tests under various operating conditions to evaluate vehicle performance and quality. Identify, document, and communicate abnormal noises, vibrations, harshness (NVH), and drivability concerns. Perform vehicle inspections and evaluations to verify quality standards and customer expectations. Support troubleshooting and root cause investigations related to vehicle concerns. Document test results, observations, and findings with a high level of accuracy and detail. Validate corrective actions and perform follow-up evaluations after repairs, adjustments, or engineering changes. Review engineering drawings, specifications, and assembly requirements as needed. Utilize quality problem-solving methodologies to assist in issue resolution and continuous improvement activities. Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Production teams to resolve vehicle concerns. Maintain compliance with all safety policies, testing procedures, and company standards.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or Technical Certification in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Technology, or a related field.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- 1–3 years of experience in automotive testing, vehicle evaluation, manufacturing, quality, service, or a related field.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to identify vehicle performance concerns.
- Experience documenting observations and communicating technical findings.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent planning, organization, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to operate vehicles safely in a testing or manufacturing environment.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience identifying and diagnosing noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) concerns.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading and engineering drawings.
- Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience utilizing quality and root cause analysis tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone Diagrams, PDCA, or Corrective Action methodologies.
- Experience supporting vehicle validation, manufacturing quality, or product development activities.
- Familiarity with automotive systems, components, and vehicle build processes.
- Experience working in an OEM, supplier, automotive manufacturing, or testing environment.
- Knowledge of quality management systems and continuous improvement principles.

Pay Transparency & EEO
Pay rate: $60,000 - $65,000. The compensation range listed for this position reflects the anticipated base pay at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, skills, education, location, and internal equity.
