Job Description
Administrative Assistant - Perioperative Services

Work location: Texas Health Plano, 6200 West Parker Road, Plano, TX 75093
Work hours: Full Time; Days for 40 hrs/week; 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (flexible based on department needs)
Perioperative Services highlights:
• Be part of an exciting and growing department focused on excellence in patient care, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement.
• Support multiple areas across Perioperative Services, including Day Surgery, PACU, Pre-Assessment Center, and Endoscopy.
• Collaborate closely with nursing leadership, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to support strategic and clinical priorities.
• Play an integral role in onboarding, employee engagement, quality initiatives, and regulatory readiness.
• Help drive data-informed decision-making through reporting, audits, and operational support.
Here's What You Need
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Three (3) years Healthcare or hospital administrative experience preferred.
• Experience with data reporting, quality initiatives, audits, and regulatory documentation preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
What You Will Do
• Coordinate department meetings, prepare agendas, maintain meeting minutes, and support leadership communications.
• Assist with productivity reports, data collection, analysis, and operational reporting to support department decision-making.
• Facilitate onboarding activities for new employees, students, agency staff, and other team members.
• Support regulatory compliance activities, accreditation readiness, audits, and documentation management.
• Coordinate purchase requests, supply orders, invoice processing, and vendor communications.
• Assist with employee engagement activities, recognition programs, and departmental communications.
• Serve as a central communication resource for physicians, staff, patients, vendors, and ancillary departments while supporting quality improvement and performance initiatives.
