Dental Associates of Delaware is seeking a full-time Front Desk/New Patient Coordinator for our thriving Millsboro practice. You will be supporting the clinical team and guiding patients through every step of their journey with compassion, knowledge, care, and respect.
The Front Desk/New Patient Coordinator duties include:
- Serve as the first point-of-contact for our patients, warmly greeting them in person and utilizing a multi-line phone system to field and transfer calls as appropriate
- Complete new patient intake forms and follow workflows to communicate with the appropriate clinical and administrative team members in the office about pertinent information
- Handle and file patient onboarding paperwork and records, including records from other providers, in accordance with HIPAA regulations and office workflows
- Communicate with patients by phone, electronically, and in person
- Scheduling new patient appointments according to office guidelines and provider availability
- Maintain and deliver reports related to new patient numbers, ensuring accuracy and organization
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits before scheduled appointments, and calculate, communicate, and collect patient co-pays before each visit.
- Input new insurance plans in Denticon and maintain existing ones
This position is ideal for someone with dental office experience who enjoys building relationships and working in a multi-faceted, busy environment.
Requirements:Must Have:
- At least one year of experience working with patients in a dental or medical office or equivalent customer service experience
- Ability to relay information to patients in a compassionate and articulate way
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills
- Ability to adapt and multi-task while maintaining organization
- High level of comfort interacting with individuals at each stage of their dental journey and at every level of the company
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications and a willingness to learn new systems and processes
- High school diploma or equivalent and valid driver's license
Preferred:
- At least one year of experience working in an administrative role in a dental or medical office as a Patient/Treatment Coordinator or similar role with knowledge of scheduling and insurance processes
- Knowledge of Denticon or similar dental or medical software
- Experience training or supporting team members
