The Opportunity:

We're looking for a talented and driven Applications Engineer to help our customers deploy and optimize their software on our new accelerated computing platform. In this high-impact role, you will be a key technical resource, applying your programming and performance tuning skills to a wide range of cutting-edge HPC-AI workloads.

What You'll Do:

  • Customer Support: Assist customers in deploying and optimizing their software applications and libraries to our revolutionary Thunderbird accelerated computing platform.
  • Performance Tuning: Profile and identify bottlenecks in a range of HPC-AI applications.
  • Software Acceleration: Implement creative algorithmic and software solutions to solve bottlenecks and accelerate software on the Thunderbird platform.
  • Requirement Gathering: Help translate application performance issues and requirements into actionable feedback for software features and hardware teams.
  • Technical Content: Assist in creating demos, application notes, and other technical documentation to help speed customer adoption.
  • Future Architecture: Support the development of performance models for future generations of accelerated computing architectures.

What You Bring:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with development in one or more HPC-AI application domains.
  • Programming Skills: Excellent C/C++ programming skills; proficiency in Fortran is a plus.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    • Working knowledge of Linux.
    • Ability to measure and profile HPC-AI application-level performance at the node level.
    • Working understanding of OpenMP, MPI, or related parallel programming models.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities with the ability to analyze complex data and attention to detail.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly to technical stakeholders.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel as necessary and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with competitive performance analysis.
  • Experience with graph analytics or other compute-intensive workloads.
