Associate Vice President - Delivery & Solutions

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Associate Vice President - Delivery & Solutions based in the United States.

The Associate Vice President - Delivery & Solutions will provide executive leadership across enterprise technology delivery, solution development, and customer engagement initiatives.
This role will oversee multidisciplinary teams responsible for delivering complex projects, managed services, and transformation programs for enterprise applications.
You will combine deep technical expertise, consulting leadership, and commercial insight to drive successful outcomes for customers and internal teams.
The position requires a strategic leader who can guide delivery operations, develop scalable solutions, and strengthen long-term client partnerships.
You will play a key role in improving delivery excellence, expanding service capabilities, and supporting continued practice growth.

Accountabilities:

The Associate Vice President - Delivery & Solutions will lead delivery strategy, customer engagement, and solution development activities while ensuring operational excellence across enterprise application projects and managed services engagements.

  • Lead and manage functional, technical, and project management teams to deliver high-quality enterprise application solutions.
  • Build and scale delivery organizations capable of supporting implementations, upgrades, cloud migrations, optimization initiatives, and managed services programs.
  • Mentor delivery leaders, project managers, architects, and consultants while fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee workforce planning, resource allocation, capacity management, utilization, and delivery performance.
  • Monitor project quality, profitability, customer satisfaction, and operational metrics to drive business improvements.
  • Provide executive oversight for strategic projects and managed services engagements, serving as a senior escalation point for delivery challenges.
  • Conduct portfolio reviews to assess engagement health, financial performance, risks, dependencies, resource needs, and customer outcomes.
  • Drive improvements in delivery methodologies, automation, service quality, efficiency, and profitability.
  • Participate in executive steering committees, business reviews, and strategic customer discussions.
  • Lead discovery sessions to understand customer objectives, technical environments, challenges, and desired business outcomes.
  • Develop comprehensive solution strategies, delivery roadmaps, staffing approaches, estimates, timelines, and project assumptions.
  • Support proposal development, request-for-proposal responses, Statements of Work, and client presentations.
  • Ensure proposed solutions are practical, commercially viable, properly scoped, and aligned with delivery capabilities.
  • Build trusted relationships with executive stakeholders and serve as a strategic advisor for key accounts.
  • Develop customer success plans and proactively address concerns to strengthen retention, satisfaction, and account growth.
  • Contribute to practice expansion, market visibility, thought leadership initiatives, and service offering maturity.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced technology consulting leader with extensive enterprise application expertise, strong executive presence, and a proven ability to manage complex delivery organizations.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 15+ years of experience in consulting, professional services, technology delivery, or enterprise systems leadership.
  • 10+ years of experience working with PeopleSoft applications and technologies.
  • Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams across functional consulting, technical delivery, project management, and managed services.
  • Demonstrated success overseeing both project-based engagements and ongoing service delivery operations.
  • Strong knowledge of PeopleSoft HCM, Financials, Supply Chain Management, Campus Solutions, PeopleTools, integrations, security, upgrades, and support models.
  • Experience leading enterprise solution design, discovery workshops, estimating, proposal creation, and Statement of Work development.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-based enterprise solutions, including AWS, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, or similar platforms preferred.
  • Experience managing portfolios of complex technology projects and customer engagements.
  • Ability to translate business objectives into practical technology solutions and delivery strategies.
  • Exceptional executive communication, stakeholder management, and client relationship-building skills.
  • Strong commercial judgment with the ability to balance customer needs, delivery quality, and business outcomes.
  • Ability to travel periodically for customer meetings, conferences, partner events, office visits, and internal activities as required.
