Food and Beverage Associate in Christiansburg, Virginia at Milestone Development LLC

Homewood Suites by Hilton in Christiansburg, VA, is looking for a friendly, dependable, and energetic Food & Beverage Associate to join our hospitality team!
In this position, you will help provide an enjoyable dining experience for our guests through our complimentary breakfast service and scheduled evening social events. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, maintains a clean and organized workspace, and takes pride in delivering quality service.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare, set up, and maintain the hotel’s complimentary breakfast service.
Assist with food preparation, presentation, and replenishment throughout service.
Set up and support scheduled evening social events.
Greet guests warmly and provide friendly, attentive service.
Monitor food quality, presentation, and availability to ensure a positive guest experience.
Maintain clean and organized dining areas, food preparation spaces, serving stations, and equipment.
Follow proper food handling, sanitation, temperature monitoring, and safety procedures.
Wash dishes, sanitize surfaces, and properly store food and supplies.
Monitor food inventory, rotate stock, and notify management when supplies need replenished.
Assist with food deliveries, storage, and organization.
Complete daily opening, closing, cleaning, and food safety checklists.
Follow Hilton brand standards, hotel policies, and applicable food safety regulations.
Communicate effectively with management and other departments to support hotel operations.

Qualifications
Previous food service, restaurant, breakfast attendant, or hospitality experience preferred but not required.
Basic knowledge of food handling and sanitation practices preferred.
Food handler certification preferred or willingness to obtain if required.
Friendly, professional, and customer-service-oriented.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.
Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail.
Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working early morning shifts.
Ability to stand for extended periods, lift supplies, and perform routine food service tasks.
Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
