This full-time Marketing Engagement Specialist opening is built for someone who wants real experience on both sides of the business, sales and marketing, without picking just one. You'll spend your days opening doors face-to-face, representing our brand at local events around Philadelphia, and feeding what you learn in the field straight back to our Marketing team.

Expect hands-on training from day one, a genuine shot at building something of your own in the field, and commission and bonus potential stacked on top of your base pay. You'll walk away with real experience in prospecting, brand representation, and CRM work, the kind of story that carries weight in any future interview.

Position Summary

The Marketing Engagement Specialist keeps our pipeline full and our brand visible, introducing Jani-King to new business prospects through in-person visits, local events, and steady outreach, while also feeding real field insight back to our Marketing team. You're the bridge between a first conversation and a closed deal, and between a name on a list and a face in the community.

What it takes to succeed: You're comfortable starting conversations with strangers, you don't get rattled by a slow week or a door closed in your face, and you treat the brand side of the job as seriously as the sales side. You take feedback well, adjust fast, and show up with the same energy on day 90 as day one.

Key Responsibilities

Prospecting & Brand Representation

• High-Volume Prospecting: Turn a cold knock, a call, or a quick introduction into a real conversation, and eventually a booked meeting. We'll hand you proven scripts and real training to get there.
• Engage Decision-Makers: Introduce Jani-King's services, ask the right questions, and figure out fast whether there's a fit.
• Territory Management: Own your routes across King of Prussia and the greater Philadelphia business corridor, from Center City and University City to Conshohocken, Plymouth Meeting, and the Main Line, and know them better than anyone else on the team.
• Brand & Event Representation: Show up at local business events, expos, and chamber functions as the face of Jani-King in the community.

Pipeline & Marketing Collaboration

• Appointment Scheduling: Book the win, qualify interest and lock in solid appointments for the sales team, with clean notes so nothing gets lost in the handoff.
• Relationship Building: Build connections that last through consistent, genuine follow-through, not just a one-time pitch.
• Marketing Collaboration: Team up with our Marketing team on messaging and campaigns, and watch the insight you bring back from the field actually shape what goes out next.
• Lead Follow-Up: Revisit prior contacts, inbound leads, and event connections to keep your pipeline alive.
• Results Tracking: Keep your own numbers, activity, follow-ups, progress, and use that data to show what you've built.

What We're Looking For

• Prior sales, prospecting, or customer development experience preferred
• Genuine interest in marketing, branding, or business development
• Proven ability to meet activity-based goals and performance metrics
• Strong communication skills with a professional, approachable style
• Highly motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; CRM experience a plus
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Reliable personal vehicle with current auto insurance coverage for daily travel

This position is based at our Jani-King of Philadelphia Regional Office:

This is a full-time, on-site role that blends in-office planning with active fieldwork across King of Prussia and the greater Philadelphia business corridor. In the office, you'll plan routes, log activity in the CRM, and work directly with leadership and Marketing on strategy. In the field, you're on the move, meeting people face-to-face, representing the brand, and finding opportunities a desk job would never surface.
