We are looking for an experienced storage technology specialist to design and deliver advanced data storage solutions that address complex enterprise needs. In this role, you will combine deep technical expertise with consultative sales capabilities to help customers modernize their data infrastructure. You will work closely with sales specialists, channel partners, and customers to develop tailored solutions across the full data lifecycle. Your responsibilities will span storage architecture, virtualization, cloud integration, backup, data protection, and ransomware resilience. You will also deliver technical demonstrations, presentations, and training sessions to communicate the value of innovative storage technologies. Working in a remote environment, you will contribute to strategic sales opportunities while building trusted customer relationships. • Storage Architecture and Solution Design: Serve as a technical authority across the storage portfolio, designing and presenting comprehensive solutions aligned with customer requirements, business objectives, and existing IT environments.
• Pre-Sales Technical Support: Partner with assigned sales specialists throughout the sales cycle, providing technical guidance, solution recommendations, architecture proposals, and expertise to advance complex opportunities.
• Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong customer relationships by understanding business challenges, assessing technical requirements, and recommending appropriate storage technologies and services.
• End-to-End Data Lifecycle Solutions: Develop solutions covering block and file storage, backup and recovery, ransomware protection, and other data management capabilities to support secure, reliable, and efficient enterprise operations.
• Technical Demonstrations and Presentations: Deliver compelling product demonstrations, technical presentations, solution briefings, and training sessions that communicate the value and capabilities of storage technologies to customers and partners.
• Channel Partner Enablement: Provide technical leadership, guidance, and support to channel partners, helping them strengthen their expertise, position solutions effectively, and identify new business opportunities.
• Cloud and Infrastructure Integration: Advise customers on integrating storage technologies with virtualization platforms, enterprise application stacks, and public cloud environments, supporting both existing infrastructure and modernization initiatives.
• Competitive Intelligence: Maintain an in-depth understanding of competing storage vendors, industry developments, emerging technologies, and market trends to differentiate solutions and strengthen sales strategies.
• Sales Performance: Meet assigned performance indicators and sales targets by supporting opportunity development, contributing to deal strategy, and delivering effective technical solutions throughout the sales process.
• Continuous Technical Development: Stay current with developments across storage architecture, cloud infrastructure, data protection, and enterprise technology to provide relevant recommendations and maintain technical credibility.

• Professional Experience: At least eight years of technical sales experience with a major enterprise storage provider, such as Dell EMC, Pure Storage, or NetApp.
• Storage Technology Expertise: Extensive hands-on experience designing, architecting, pitching, and demonstrating complex storage solutions for enterprise customers.
• Data Lifecycle Management: Strong knowledge of comprehensive storage and data protection portfolios, including block storage, file storage, backup and recovery, ransomware protection, and related technologies.
• Virtualization and Enterprise Applications: Demonstrable knowledge of virtualization technologies and experience supporting at least two major enterprise application environments, such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or SAP.
• Public Cloud Knowledge: Practical experience working with at least one major public cloud platform, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud. Relevant certifications are preferred.
• Competitive Market Knowledge: In-depth understanding of at least one major competing storage vendor, including its technology portfolio, capabilities, and market positioning.
• Technical Communication: Strong presentation, demonstration, and customer-facing communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value.
• Consultative Sales Skills: Ability to collaborate effectively with sales teams, channel partners, and customers to identify requirements, develop tailored architectures, and support strategic deal pursuits.
• Autonomy and Adaptability: A proactive, self-motivated approach, with the ability to learn quickly, manage competing priorities, and operate effectively in a dynamic technology environment.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual communication skills are an advantage, particularly when supporting customers and partners across diverse markets.

• Competitive Compensation: Annual on-target earnings ranging from CAD $200,000 to $312,000 for Ontario-based positions, depending on experience, location, education, and skills.
• Performance-Based Compensation: Compensation structured as an 80% base salary and 20% target variable sales compensation, assuming achievement of 100% of the sales plan.
