Due to our continued growth and success, we are currently seeking a Quality Control Supervisor to join our staff.
Position Overview:
A Quality Control Supervisor oversees daily quality control operations, leads QC Inspector staff, implements inspection/testing procedures, resolves non‑conformances, and ensures compliance with standards such as AS9100 / AS9120, other regulatory requirements, customer requirements and company procedures.
Essential Job Functions:
- Supervises and mentors a team of Quality Control Inspectors of various levels
- Conducts training of new and existing inspectors to follow documented procedures
- Oversee and completes inspections of materials and finished goods to the specifications outlined on the order.
- Provide guidance on interpretation of drawings, specifications, standards, and expectations per Material Classification codes.
- Document and manage nonconforming materials and coordinate rework.
- Lead investigations of non‑conformances, deviations, OOS results, and customer complaints. Coordination and review completion of customer PPAP, FAI and portal work
- Communicates effectively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve results
- Interfaces with the enterprise resource planning (ERP) tool to move material
- Coordination and management of the calibration program at their specific site
- Identify areas for improvement activities
Counsels the Quality Control Manager for:
- Quality workload
- Supplier issues and trends
- Inspection plans and trends
- Product conformity issues
- Certification issues
- Calibrated equipment issues
Non-essential Job Functions:
- Individual must be able to work with limited supervision
- Time management, planning/organization, and decision-making skills
- Individual must be able to work well in teams with others from diverse organizational functions and backgrounds
- This position requires strong communication skills
- This individual regularly works with restricted information
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred
- 3+ years of QC or QA experience
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, cGMP, AS9100, or industry‑specific standards
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
- Good knowledge of MS Office and data analysis tools
- Strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and being detail oriented
- Ability to manage a team
- Must meet vision and color blindness standards, verified by medical documentation. New hires must pass an eye test before starting employment, and retesting occurs annually
Other Skills/Abilities:
- Experience using various precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers, vernier calipers, and thread gauges.
- Ability to lift 45 lbs.
